Lustem Dark wheat beer of 7% ABV This beer is the second recipe of 'De Verhuisbrouwerij' being produced in a larger brewery. The Name Lustem is flemish for 'Do You Like It ?'. It sounds like the latin lustrum, which is a period of five years. This beer was made to celebrate 5 years of public brewdemonstrations. And of course we are also with 5 brewers. The Story Behind The Beer This beer was brewed the first time as an experiment in 2005. Two brewers became father at the same time, leaving the other brewers no choise to give them both a new challenge. With a few ingredients they had to create a new beerstyle. They choose a mix between the German dunkelweizen and the Belgian wheatbeer, of course improved with their own taste and vision. The first big brew of only 1500 bottles was made on february 10th 2008 at 't hofbrouwerijke in Beerzel/Belgium. Recipe
Lagermalt,Wheatmalt, roastedmalt The Label The complete brewing process can be found on the label of each bottle. This beer is brewed in an small artisanal brewery, bottled and labeled by hand. Photo album The first time we brewed our beer Lustem at 't Hofbrouwerijke | ||||||
